Month: March 2013

One of the best clips ever, showcasing Pipeline from this last winter season. Every February the worlds bodyboarders flock the the Northshore in preparation for the Pipeline Pro. Literally that whole month the area is flooded with the best riders trying to get as many sessions in before the contest. I had planned to make the trek this season to compete for a wildcard spot… knowing that I wouldn’t place. Just riding in this environment with these dudes would push me to the next level. Needless to say, I didn’t make it this year. Lots of excuses, surgery, work, Pipeline almost being cancelled, none of them good. Next year my sites are set on this. It’s not about competing, it’s about immersing myself and pushing my riding further.
There is nothing else in the world I would rather be doing.

Forgetting the multinational pharmaceutical corporation logo at the end which has no bearing on these dudes stoke.
The Silent Partner (1978)
My fascination with 70’s American cinema continues, although this film is Canadian… Elliot Gould (The Long Goodbye & California Split) plays a bank teller who finds out the bank he works for is about to be robbed. Christopher Plummer plays the bank robber and all around insane maniac, worth a watch just for the brutal shit he does. Great movie certainly worth a watch.
