  1. yeah, i was bummed on the protesters, but stoked on the bikers that came out to keep those assholes from ruining something that has to be hard already.

“The scriptures are crystal clear that when God sets out to punish a nation, it is with the sword. An IED is just a broken-up sword,” Phelps-Roper said. “Since that is his weapon of choice, our forum of choice has got to be a dead soldier’s funeral.”

    people are fucked up

Yeah, the bike community has really taken this thing to heart. One of our club members had a brother killed over there three weeks ago and we all rode to the memorial in case Phelps showed up, which he didn’t, but it still meant a lot to the family to have us out there showing support. I don’t care who you are or what your beliefs are, using someone else’s death as a self-promotion tool and verbally accosting bereaved families is simply one of the lowest things I can imagine.

Because of the size of his group, Phelps usually has to get a parade/protest permit so when he files for that the municipality knows he’s coming and sends out the cops to protect his ass. In other places he’s so disruptive people call the cops ON him. A few scuffles have broke out but nothing serious. One of his children is a lawyer, and usually files nuisance and defamation suits on anybody that confronts them. But I assure you this, had he shown up at Josh’s memorial, he would have needed more than the 2 man police force that town has and a lawyer kid.

But I also want to say this, for as vile and fucking sick as this tard is, it’s having a reverse effect than he wants. Real bikers are definitely not known for progressive social attitudes, but this has shown them what virulent homophobia really looks like and has changed their perception on stuff.
